APWA offers numerous ways for you to be involved with your colleagues and your profession. When you join APWA, you immediately become a part of your local chapter. Your local chapter will have numerous opportunities for you to volunteer or serve in some capacity, so we encourage you to serve on a committee, be on the Board, or help plan events with your chapter.  Click here for more information on becoming a Chapter volunteer.

You can also be involved at a national level by volunteering for a technical committee, a standing committee, a task force, or one of our national events.  A call for nominations is issued each year for openings on technical and standing committees, and local volunteers are needed in the host cities for each of our national events.

Finally, APWA members can be involved in advocating for public works nationally and in your own community. Through its Legislative Action Center, APWA provides you the tools you need to connect with your elected officials.
